Let me introduce you to Cat Pack Adoptions & Rescue. Cat Pack is a small, non-profit rescue in Western Massachusetts (Hampden County) that was started in 2000. Cat Pack isn't a shelter, but rather a group of foster homes. What does that mean? It means that none of our cats are kept in cages. Instead, cats and kittens are cared for in the private homes of volunteers where they are treated like members of the family until they are adopted into their new, forever homes. Foster families get to know the cats they foster very well, allowing volunteers to help potential adopters find the new companion that is best suited for their family. Since the very beginning, Cat Pack has focused its efforts on reducing the number of stray and abandoned cats on the streets by taking in pregnant cats. Because of this, we usually have quite a few kittens throughout the late spring, summer and fall. Also, because Cat Pack is a no-kill rescue that keeps and cares for all the cats we take in until they are adopted, we occasionally have special needs kitties available for adoption as well, like senior cats, cats with FIV or FeLV, and cats that have lost eyes or been hit by cars. Before they are put up for adoption, Cat Pack neuters all the cats and kittens that we take in. We also test our cats for FIV & FeLV and provide our cats with all the necessary shots and any other medical care that they may require. Our website has information about our group, ways that people can help our rescued kitties, and pictures and descriptions of the cats and kittens that we have available for adoption. So, feel free to take look around. If interested in adopting a cat, volunteering, or
helping Cat Pack in any way you can contact a Cat Pack volunteer by sending
an email to
catpack277@aol.com, or by calling us at (413) 547-8025. You can also
stop in at one of our adoption clinics, which are held several times a month
at various pet stores in Western Mass and Connecticut. (For dates and times
of clinics check out the upcoming events page.) |
